Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire is a sleepy town on the island of Montreal that is known as"the West Island. People aren't sure of about the definition of the word and believe it's an island that is separate from Montreal. Actually, it is a part of the West Island includes the entire region from Lachine towards the west. Many times, it is regarded as the place of birth for Amanda Brugel, but while it's true the time she spent there was short. Brugel had a childhood in Courtice close to Oshawa. She had a dream to become a dancer from the start however, due to the speed of growth, she surpassed her dancing partners. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she confessed, "In heels I am six feet and one inch." Once I outgrew my male counterparts I cut off. A lot of former dancers go into acting. For Brugel she was urged to do so by the drama teacher at her the high school. Her teacher urged her to participate in a school production. It was a trial run and she got the role of leading role of Anne of Green Gables. This resulted in a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in 2000.In the past 20 years, Brugel has landed roles in over 60 shows in both the small and the large screens. She attracted the most interest when she was offered the lead role of Rita on the award-winning television series, The Handmaid's Tale
